Happy Summer Solstice

 HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE!!

Summer Solstice (AKA Midsummer), is a day I look forward to because it's the official start of summer and nicer weather in the Pacific Northwest where I live. The down side however, is days are getting shorter and it won't be long until cold, gloomy, gray, rainy weather returns. The Pacific Northwest has beautiful mountains, forests, waterfalls and nature and I realize that would not be possible without the rain. So, I accept the cold, gloomy, gray rainy days and as philosopher Marcus Aurelius once said, "There is never any need to get worked up or to trouble your soul about things you can't control."
